The complex is just under 1400 acres and right on the Atlantic. There are no less than three championship golf courses which elevates it to one of the top Florida Golf resorts. This doesn't surprise - its Florida! But golf is far from all they offer here ( all inclusive.) Go biking on several trails, or relax in the spa. The main town is Fernandina Beach - a very interesting place. Right through the 1700s this was a base-camp for Florida Pirates and other Brigands. Now its base-camp for the Shrimp fleet who provide a large part of Florida's healthy White Shrimp catch. The early Fernandina was Spanish but the more modern town has beautiful Victorian Architecture - having been built on the back of the rise in Florida tourism.
